Hello, just wanted to remind everyone about the VOLUNTEER MEETING this Monday, September 19 starting at 6pm in the Willard North Library. This meeting will be especially helpful for those who would like to help in the classrooms.
Welcome back this year! We just wanted to remind you of our next PTO meeting on Monday, September 12 at 6pm in the Willard North library. We would love to see you there!
It’s hard to believe there are only 10 days of school left for this school year! It’s been a great year at Willard North. Attached is our end of year newsletter. We wish everyone a wonderful and safe summer! Check back for updates throughout the summer.

This week we are celebrating our teachers at Willard North with Teacher Appreciation Week. Traditionally this week observed the first week of May, but with all the extra activities we had last week at North, we choose to wait a week so we could do our fabulous teachers justice! PTO will be providing a “Pop Star” cart to the teachers on Monday, followed by a salad and sandwich lunch on Wednesday and on Friday we will conclude the week with a candy gram. Feel free to do something special for your teacher – they are the best!
PTO’s last monthly meeting for this school year will be Monday night at 6:30. Childcare is available. Please join us.

Greetings to our Willard North Family and Friends,
Time sure has flown by! The Willard North PTO has been busy making preparations for many upcoming events. A reminder that we have the annual Sock Hop this Friday, April 29th from 6-8pm. It’s always a great time and special this year is a Dunk Tank for your enjoyment – come out and enjoy throwing a ball to dunk your favorite teacher! PTO will be selling snacks that evening as well as a few remaining class photos and yearbooks! An extra bonus will be that the Spring Book Fair will be open as well. Great opportunity for parents to select some summer reading challenges for your child.
Embedded you will find the minutes from our March meeting. In all the hustle of this busy month, I thought they had already been posted! Sorry. At our April meeting we also voted on our new PTO Board Officers for the 2011-2012 school year. Your PTO Board will be Jessi Patterson, Amanda Shanks, Michelle Crawford, Becky Haley and Angie Nicholls – a great group of parents to lead the efforts. ptominutes4-11-11.

Attached are the minutes/agenda from our February 14th meeting. We want to Thank Mrs. Mann for her great presentation about the Willard North Library website. Please check out the notes and travel over to the website and try out the great tools available to parents and students. ptominutes2-14-11
Hard to believe that we are in our 3rd quarter of school for this year! Wow – the year has really gone by quickly. In this home stretch of school there will be many exciting events and we would love to have you and your family participate. Beginning on Friday, Feb 25th we will kickoff our final fundraiser, our annual Read-A-Thon! This fundraiser is for everyone and is a great boost to the reading skills of our children. Information will be coming home on Friday, please check your student’s backpack. On the horizon we have the Spring Book Fair, MAP testing, Field Day and the annual Sock Hop – be watching for more information as those events approach.
We appreciate all your support and would love to answer any questions you may have. Our next meeting is scheduled for March 14th at 4pm in the Willard North Library. Nominations for the 2011-2012 PTO board member election will take place. If you are interested in serving in a position please contact a current board member or Mrs. Stevens. We hope to see you soon!
