Yearbook Order Forms

Capture those memories!  Have a keepsake of your best days at Willard North!  Order a 2010-2011 Willard North Yearbook today.  Order forms will be going home with students this week.  January 21st is the deadline for ordering.  We will not be doing a re-order, we are committed to a limited number of books, so get your order in.  Yearbooks will be delivered the around the first week of May.

Love Lines and Shout Outs will again be available for purchase.  Love Lines are text message only (limited to 15 words) for $2.  Shout outs are a picture and text message (limited to 25 words) for $10.  Give your student some special recognition!  Pictures for Shout Outs may be emailed to amanda@activeservers.com

Payment for yearbook, shout outs and love lines MUST accompany the order form.  If you have questions, please contact Lisa Christianson.  Thank you.

 

Box Tops Help Your School!

Ever wonder if those Box Tops you clip and send in ever amount to anything?  Well rest assured they do!  Willard North is proud to have just received a check for $935.40 from the Box Top people.  This is our first check of the school year and exceeded our last year total by $160!  We want to say THANK  YOU to everyone who sends in those tiny little pieces – WE APPRECIATE IT!  The money raised through the Box Top campaign helps to fund the annual PTO budget for playground balls, teacher appreciation, classroom supplies and many other items.  We would also like to thank all the teachers who encourage their students to participate and Mrs. Miller for her hours of counting and sorting the little pieces.  Way to go Willard North!

January Meeting Re-Scheduled

The January PTO meeting that was postponed due to weather conditions has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 18th at 6:30pm in the Willard North Library. We hope you can join us.

January PTO Meeting Tonight – Cancelled

In the best interest of everyone’s safety we have decided to cancel the meeting for tonight and will re-schedule it later in the month. Mrs. Mann our Willard North Librarian will be our guest speaker in February. We apologize for any inconvenience. Check back for details of when the re-schedule will be. Thank you.

January Monthly Meeting – A Guest Speaker!

You are invited to join us for our monthly meeting on Monday, January 10th at 6:30pm in the Willard North Library. We will be hearing from our Librarian, Mrs. Mann on how to access appropriate reading titles for our children using our school webpage. Please join us!

Year End Update

We just wanted to give thanks for a great 2010 at Willard North. We have had many successes to include the seating for the pavilion, teacher diners, book fairs, Santa Shop, Box Tops and Pastry Puffins just to name a few. Our organization is comprised of wonderful teachers, staff, parents and students. We are grateful for each of year. Attached is our end of year newsletter, we hope you enjoy learning more about the great things we’ve done. We look forward to a wonderful 2011 and hope you will COME ALONG FOR THE RIDE. December Meeting

Willard North PTO meeting for December is scheduled for 4pm on Monday, December 13th in the Library. This meeting is our annual Holiday Open House. It’s a great time to mingle with the teachers and find out what opportunities are available through PTO. If you plan on attending, we ask that you bring a snack to share. We hope to see you!

Pastry Puffin and Butter Braids are about to be delivered…

Remember that on Thursday, November 18th from 3-6pm the pastries will be available for pickup from the Conference Room at Willard North.

Santa Shop is Coming….

We are pleased to announce that Santa Shop will be held December 7-9 this year. If you are not familiar with Santa Shop, here’s how it works. The PTO purchases a variety of gift items and has them available to the students at a price of $1.50 each. This price includes gift wrapping/bagging. The students shop during the time frame their teacher has signed up for. This experience is so fun for the students as they get the thrill of shopping for that perfect gift for their loved ones. As with any great community service project, we need volunteer help! If you are interested in being a special elf and assisting shoppers, wrapping, or running the register, please give me a call at 742-2328. Santa Shop will be open during regular school hours and then until 6pm on Tuesday, December 7th. We will be sending home shopping lists with the students so that they can be completed with family assistance. We look forward to seeing you at the Shop!!
